About us

Latin Dragons Singapore is a Dragon Boat team comprised of Latin members.

The team was founded as an initiative of a group of girlfriends, that wanted to create a social space for Latino women while practicing Dragon Boating.

With the years, the team made way to the men team members with the aim to grow and expand the vision of the founders, being a reference for the Latin community in Singapore.

“Latinos” is understood as originating from countries with a language derived from Latin, capable of communicating in Spanish, although non-Latino members are admitted, as long as they are capable of communicating in Spanish!.

The goal of the team is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the members, be an exchange hub for Latin Culture, integrate our members in the Singaporean culture and promote the Dragon Boat sport through hard training and competitions.

The team operates in a transparent, democratic and decentralized manner, is led internally, and has no political or religious affiliations of any kind.

From the beginning, Latin Dragons was founded and promoted as a lead female team to incentivize,
support and promote all Latin females into the Dragon Boat sport and the local community.
